The 6th and 7th grade students enjoyed a wonderful and educational day at Jacksonport State Park.  Jacksonport State Park is located 3 miles north of Newport.  Students toured the Mary Woods No. 2 steamboat as well as the 1872 courthouse.  Also included in the day's activities was a guided activity focusing on wildlife in Arkansas.  Mrs. Ramey and Mrs. Green noted that the trip was very educational and a beautiful day spent with their students outside the classroom.
